Greetings 2020 FIRST® New Veteran Team,
Congratulations on a great season! Your FRC New Veteran team now has the opportunity to secure $2,000 towards registration for the 2021 season.

We know that the program was interrupted due to COVID-19 and the season cancellation. This difficult decision was grounded in FIRST’s commitment to put the health and safety of our community above all else. We would still like to gather your team's Lessons Learned and feedback for the part of the season you were able to experience.

As outlined in the criteria for the FRC New Team Growth Grant grant your team received in the 2020 season, the expectation is that you will now provide some insight into your experience; your team's lessons learned. Please use the following space to complete the questions and/or attach a word document, video, powerpoint, or really any document you please! You are also welcome to submit any pictures and thank yous to sponsors via this application or by emailing us directly at This should be completed as outlined below by Thursday September 3rd, 2020.
The purpose of the lessons learned assignment is to reflect on the rookie experience and share your team's thoughts and insight with others. Remember that sharing your lessons learned is a requirement for receiving the 2nd year of this grant's funding.

Step 1: Create your lessons learned, which can include anything the team or individual members learned throughout the season. The reflections can be individual comments or a compilation of the team’s thoughts. You are welcome to document the team's lessons learned within this application, or you may attach a document.
Step 2: Post your lessons learned. After the team has generated some lessons learned, please post it where other teams and individuals can see and learn from it, such as on the team's social media site (Facebook or Twitter) or a team/community/school website.

Please note, you are only eligible for this grant if you received the 2020 FRC New Team Growth Grant.
The deadline is Thursday September 3rd, 2020. Please reach out to your Program Delivery Partner if you are having difficulty meeting this deadline. You are also welcome to email with any questions.

We use Submittable to accept and review our submissions.
