The next phase of FIRST Tech Challenge robotics platform evolution will combine the functionality of the Android handset into the REV Robotics Hub. The resulting product is referred to as the “REV Control Hub” or simply Control Hub.
FIRST Tech Challenge is pleased to run a limited pilot in the 2019-2020 season in the following regions*:
- California - Los Angeles
- New Hampshire
- New Jersey
- Texas - North
*Please note that the pilot execution may vary in each region and not all teams in the above areas may be able to participate.
Teams interested in participating in the pilot will be able to order 1 Control Hub from REV at a discounted price of $175. Selected teams will receive a coupon code via email. To use the coupon code, teams will go to www.revrobotics.com and add the Control Hub (located in the REV FOR FTC->ELECTRONICS section) to the shopping cart, and then enter the provided code in the "Coupon Code" section.
The Control Hub will be ready for shipment mid-to-end June. Pre-sale is expected to be available by June 7th.
Teams in need of a kit of parts, including the control and communications components and the competition set, will do so through the Storefront that is accessed via the account on www.firstinspires.org.
Coupon codes are single-use and only one code is allowed per team. If a team wishes to purchase additional Control Hubs, they may do so at the retail price listed on the REV website.
Teams participating in the pilot may use the Control Hub at competition events in the above listed participating region only and World Championships. If a team chooses to compete in a non-pilot participating region, they will not be able to use the Control Hub on their robot.
